If you’re a fan of the books, you’ll be thrilled about one character: Raife Hastings. He’s like James Reece’s dark mirror. Older, wiser, and arguably more lethal. In the books, he’s a legend. In the show, he’s played by an actor who terrifies me in the best way.
We’re also getting a new female lead. Not a love interest, thank goodness. A partner. A fellow operative who doesn’t need saving. She might even save him. Which is a refreshing change of pace from the “damsel in distress” trope.
And yes, your favorite supporting characters are back. The journalist, the tech guy, the skeptical FBI agent. They’re all dragged back into the chaos. Because when James Reece calls, you don’t hit “ignore.” You run.
