The gift shop exit is a trap. You will walk past a wall of Lego keychains. They have a tiny Elvis. They have a hotdog bun with legs. I bought the hotdog. His name is Frank. No regrets.
The store also sells exclusive Birmingham sets. Little landmarks you can’t get elsewhere. It’s a Lego version of a ‘I ♥️ Brum’ souvenir, but actually cool. You become a local hero if you give one as a gift.
Final pro tip: Go on a rainy Tuesday. The place is a ghost town. You get the entire MINILAND to yourself. You can whisper to the tiny plastic people and no one will judge. Probably.
So grab your bricks, bring your best excuse (“I’m here for the kids!”), and dive in. Build something ugly. Laugh at the 4D sneezes. Buy the hotdog keychain. Your brain will thank you. It’s a giant, colourful, and brilliantly silly day out. Don’t overthink it.
