Then, there's Patrick Swayze, who played the role of Bodhi, the charismatic leader of the bank-robbing surfers. Swayze was already a household name, thanks to his Dirty Dancing days, but his performance in Point Break showed the world he was more than just a pretty face (and a mean dancer). He was also an adrenaline junkie, which made him perfect for the role.
The rest of the cast was just as impressive, with Gary Busey playing the role of Angelo Pappas, a veteran FBI agent who's seen it all. Busey's performance was, well, typically Busey - over-the-top and utterly entertaining. And let's not forget Lori Petty, who played Tyler Ann Endicott, the tough-as-nails surfer chick who steals Utah's heart.
One of the most surprising facts about the film is that the actors didn't just act like surfers - they actually had to learn how to surf. Reeves has said in interviews that he spent hours in the water, trying to catch waves and not wipe out (too much). Swayze, on the other hand, was already an experienced surfer, which made him the cool guy on set.
