Most dogs can safely eat small amounts of fresh cucumber. It’s mostly water, low in calories, and many dogs find the texture satisfying—especially as a summer snack or a crunchy distraction during training.
That said, not all cucumber is equally dog-friendly. The safety window shrinks when cucumbers are pickled, heavily seasoned, or served in a way that increases choking or stomach upset.
