You don’t have to keep the boring blue-and-white stripes. Click anywhere in your table. A new tab appears—Table Design. Click it.
How to Create a Table with Existing Data in Excel - ExcelDemy
You’ll see a gallery of table styles. Want dark mode? Orange zebra stripes? Subtle gray? Pick one. It changes instantly. No, it won’t break your data.
I personally use the “Green, Table Style Light 16” because it makes me feel organized. You do you. But please, please don’t use Comic Sans colors. We’re adults here.
Step 4: Make it work for you (sorting & filtering)
Click the drop-down arrow on “Amount.” Choose Sort Smallest to Largest. Watch your data dance into order. It’s oddly satisfying.
Want to see only transactions over $50? Click the Number Filters option. Choose Greater Than, type 50, hit OK. Excel hides all the small stuff. You’re a data detective now!
To reset, just click “Clear Filter” from that same arrow. Magic, right? Excel tables are basically real-time magic shows for adults who pay bills.
