Bodnant Garden isn’t trying to be fancy. It’s just an old-fashioned, overgrown, lovingly messy paradise that makes you slow down. You’ll leave with muddy shoes, a brain full of oxygen, and a sudden urge to buy a terracotta pot. That’s the trick: it makes you believe you could be a gardener, too. Spoiler: you probably can’t, but it’s nice to dream.
So go. Take a friend, take a book, or take only your thoughts. Tell the redwood tree your secrets. Eat the cake. Nod at the strange man whispering to the fuchsias. You’ll get it soon enough.
