But he does. And then Abby happens. She’s the daughter of the doctor Joel… well, you remember the first game, right? She’s not happy. She uses a golf club, and the scene is brutal, sudden, and absolutely soul-crushing. It’s not a heroic death. It’s ugly, messy, and feels incredibly unfair.
And that’s exactly the point. The game wants you to feel that rage, that helplessness. It’s designed to make you want to break things. Which, honestly, I did. My coffee mug didn’t stand a chance.
