Michigan games are a bit like a box of chocolates—mostly great, but you never quite know when you’ll bite into one. If it’s a Big Noon Kickoff, you’re waking up early. Like, “is it too early for a Bloody Mary?” early. Fox loves those 12:00 PM EST slots for the Wolverines. You’ll have the whole afternoon to decompress—or sulk.
But maybe it’s a night game. A 7:30 PM or 8:00 PM kickoff. Those are magical. The Big House turns into a sea of maize and blue under the lights. Just know you’ll be yelling at your TV until midnight, and your neighbors will hate you. Worth it.
How to Actually Find The Time (Without Asking Me)
Step one: check your phone. I know, groundbreaking advice. Google “Michigan football” and it’s literally the first thing that pops up. The internet gods are not trying to hide this from you. They want you to plan your Saturday around it.
Step two: look at the network. If it’s on ABC or ESPN, you’re probably looking at a 3:30 PM or 7:30 PM window. If it’s on Big Ten Network, it could be a weirdly specific time like 4:00 PM. Why? No one knows. It’s a mystery wrapped in a maize-and-blue enigma.
Step three: follow the official Michigan Football Twitter account. They post the time like a hostage negotiator—dramatically, with lots of graphics. And then they delete it and post it again. It’s exhausting. But reliable.
