The finale airs two weeks after the penultimate episode. Why? So you can develop anxiety. The BBC knows we need that extra week to stress over who will win the race to the final checkpoint.
Last season, the winner was decided by a 10-minute ferry delay. The loser stood on the dock, waving at the boat, while the winner danced on deck. It was like a slow-motion disaster, and I watched it three times.
If you miss the finale, don’t panic. The BBC will replay it at 2 AM on a Tuesday. Because that’s when desperate people watch TV. You know who you are.
Final Punchy Advice
Bookmark the show’s official website. Check it every 48 hours. Trust me—they update it exactly when you’re about to give up.
Or just watch the whole season in one night. You’ll lose sleep, but you’ll gain the thrill of watching someone haggle for a camel ride to the Tajikistan border. Worth it.
Until then, keep your passport ready and your snack drawer full. The next episode is coming. Probably. Maybe. But definitely worth the wait.
