First, let’s admit it. Bus strikes are weirdly unpredictable. They pop up like whack-a-moles. One day, everything runs smoothly. The next? Silence.
You see empty roads. No big red monsters. Just confused pigeons taking over the bus lanes. It’s a very specific kind of urban ghost town.
Here’s the funny part. Nobody ever knows for sure. You ask your friend. They shrug. You check Twitter. It’s a dumpster fire of rumors.
The Official Sources Are… Fun?
Let’s talk about official transit websites. They are masterpieces of suspense. You click “Service Updates.” Your heart pounds. The page loads slowly, just to torture you.
And then? A single cryptic sentence. “We are currently in negotiations.” That’s it. That’s all you get. It’s like reading a fortune cookie, but the fortune says “maybe walk.”
Local news is no help either. They love the drama. “Talks break down!” they shout. “Buses may not roll!” It’s a soap opera with diesel fumes.
