Yes, you can take an Uber with a dog. But—and this is a big, slobbery BUT—it’s not a guarantee. Uber’s official policy says service animals are always welcome.
But for your average, floofy, non-service pooch? It’s up to the driver. Think of it like asking a friend if you can bring your dog to their apartment. Some love it. Some are allergic to happiness.
First, The Fine Print (Boring but Necessary)
Uber’s terms don’t explicitly ban pets. They just don’t require drivers to accept them. That means you’re at the mercy of a stranger’s mood and their car’s fabric seats.
Drivers can say no for any reason. Maybe they’re allergic. Maybe they just cleaned. Or maybe they’ve been scarred by a previous poodle incident. You never know.
