Alright, teachers, listen up. If you want to truly delete a class from existence, you have to do it from your Settings page. Not the class card. Not the stream. The Settings page is the control room.
Go to your Google Classroom home screen. Look for the little gear icon in the top right corner—that’s your Settings button. Click it like you mean it.
Now, scroll down until you see a section called “Delete a class.” It sounds ominous, right? Like a dungeon door. Click the three little dots next to the class you want to obliterate. Then, select Delete.
A scary pop-up will appear, asking “Are you sure you want to permanently delete this class?” It will beg you to reconsider. Hold your nerve. Click Delete again. Poof. Gone. The digital equivalent of a mic drop.
Pro tip: Before you do this, go to your class’s Classwork tab, click the three dots next to “Classwork,” and choose Copy all classwork. This saves your genius lesson plans to a Google Doc. You’re welcome.
