Forget the old image of a stuffy wine merchant with a monocle and a lot of sniffing. This place is more like walking into your mate’s kitchen—if your mate had a seriously good wine fridge and wasn’t afraid to share. The team here genuinely love what they do, and they don’t care whether you’re shopping for a Thursday night curry or a wedding anniversary surprise.
I once walked in with a very specific, very embarrassing problem: “I need a wine that goes with microwave mac and cheese.” Instead of a judgmental eyebrow, I got a wink and a recommendation for a crisp, unoaked white that honestly made that powdered cheese taste like a five-star meal. That’s the kind of place this is.
